Shawn moves to the Google SF office

I recently moved with Google to the new SF office. As another reminder of why we live in the Bay Area, here's the picture from my desk.

Baby Claire is here!

Please welcome Team Thompson's latest, Claire Marie. Delivery was remarkably smooth and Mommy and baby are doing great (Daddy is a little tired). Everyone will be home later today (Sunday) hopefully. Jay was excited to meet her in the hospital and has been walking around the house wondering where the "baby" is.

Stats for the stats crazy:

• Born Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 1:25pm at Stanford's Lucile Packard Children's hospital

• 8 lbs, 7 oz

• 19 3/4 in

• Blissfully short 10.5 hours start to finish

• Named after Alysia's grandmother

• Middle name is traditional in Alysia's family

Video and pics to follow.

Drinking from the hose

Jay enjoys drinking from the hose, just like Daddy.

Jay Walks!

After many days of concentrated practice, Jay is now walking.

Jay Stands!

Jay is edging ever closer to walking on his own. He now walks while we hold only one of his hands and yesterday he decided to stand on his own. See for yourself.

Jay jogs!

Jay recently visited his Virginia grandparents and got out for some exercise. Yes, that's filmed at normal speed!

Jay (and Moses) Play with Bubbles

Jay got a bottle of bubbles for Easter but Moses may have liked them the best.

Jay Zurburts

We thought this was pretty funny.
