Baby Claire is here!

Please welcome Team Thompson's latest, Claire Marie. Delivery was remarkably smooth and Mommy and baby are doing great (Daddy is a little tired). Everyone will be home later today (Sunday) hopefully. Jay was excited to meet her in the hospital and has been walking around the house wondering where the "baby" is.

Stats for the stats crazy:

• Born Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 1:25pm at Stanford's Lucile Packard Children's hospital


• 8 lbs, 7 oz


• 19 3/4 in


• Blissfully short 10.5 hours start to finish


• Named after Alysia's grandmother


• Middle name is traditional in Alysia's family

After many days of concentrated practice, Jay is now walking.

Jay is edging ever closer to walking on his own. He now walks while we hold only one of his hands and yesterday he decided to stand on his own. See for yourself.
